A few nights ago, a tragic fire took the life of a Washington Township (Gloucester County) woman. Although the cause of the fire is undetermined, it was found that the smoke detector was not working. In this day and age, that is simply unacceptable!
As a way to make some good come out of this tragedy, Washington Township Fire Department has decided to initiate a smoke detector check in the Township. Found this link announcing the Fire Department's initiative to bring awareness to the necessity for working smoke detectors.
